And According to standard.net:
Daniel Walter Warner, 38, is booked in jail on eight counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, all second-degree felonies.
On Sept. 19, an agent on the FBI’s Child Exploitation Task Force was investigating a BitTorrent network for people sharing child porn. The same day, the agent observed an IP address downloading child porn files, according to a probable cause statement connected with the case.
Roughly a month later, a subpoena was served to Comcast in order to get more information on the IP address downloading the illicit material. Investigators say the IP address came back to an address in Kaysville, where Warner is said to live, according to the probable cause statement.
On Oct. 25, police searched Warner’s home after obtaining a search warrant the day before. Investigators allegedly found at least 100 GB of child pornography, police say.
Warner was not at the residence during the search and was said to be in Baltimore. Police say they contacted Warner, who allegedly admitted to downloading, storing and possessing the child porn files.
Warner later flew back to Utah and was arrested at the Salt Lake International Airport.
According to the probable cause statement, Warner has previously volunteered for a foster care program, and “concerning statements have been previously made by a 3-year-old female suggesting sexual abuse.”
Warner is said to be in the Army Reserve and “held a clearance on Hill Air Force Base,” according to a probable cause statement.
As of Friday evening, Warner has not been formally charged in Farmington’s 2nd District Court. He is being held at the Davis County Jail on a no-bail warrant.
