Man Shipped 340 Grams of Fentanyl Pills Across the U.S.

A former resident of California admitted shipping a package of fentanyl pills from California to Pennsylvania.
Victor Daniel Gutierrez, described in a press release from the United States Attorney’s Office as a “former resident of California,” pleaded guilty to conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute and distribute forty grams or more of fentanyl. Acting United States Attorney Stephen R. Kaufman, in an announcement, said the United States Postal Service had intercepted a package containing 340 grams of fentanyl pills in 2020.
As part of the plea, Gutierrez also acknowledged his responsibility for attempting to possess with intent to distribute 2.125 kilograms of cocaine and 1.535 kilograms of heroin in and around September of 2019.
Gutierrez is scheduled for sentencing on July 8, 2021. He faces up to 40 years in prison.
