Earlier this month, law enforcement in the Netherlands arrested a 28-year old from Rotterdam for allegedly selling stolen or hacked PayPal accounts on the now-defunct Hansa darknet market.
The press release on politie.nl revealed that information collected during the investigation into Hansa market vendors eventually led Rotterdam police too the home of a man suspected of selling hacked PayPal accounts. According to information revealed through previous press releases, this fraudulent account vendor was one of only a select few vendors caught via evidence obtained during the Hansa investigation.
Investgators also learned that the man, after the Hansa takedown, had set up shop on Dream market, the largest standing darknet market. The police arrested the 28-year-old on May 7 and have kept him in custody since the arrest.
